Snowy Owl in Livingston County
We went looking for the Snowy Owl that has hanging out in Livingston County for the past several months. We found him as he flew from a fence post far out into a field. She (we think it is a female) stayed there for about 15 minutes, preening, yawning (or calling out, but we didn't hear any thing), and looking all around. Then she flew further out in the field and we could no longer see her in the snow.
Snowy Owl, yawning or calling? Not sure which because we were too far away to hear.
She flew farther out in the field and we lost sight of her in the snow.
