Egrets and Herons at Worley Lake

There were hundreds of egrets and herons foraging in the shallow waters of Worley Lake, North of Pekin, Illinois.

Northern Cardinal was singing at the east access point of the marsh.
   

A pair of Eastern Kingbirds chased a Great Egret from his foraging location.

A Juvenile Black-crowned Night Heron was snoozing in the trees along the pond off Mendenhall Road.
